Books and magazines within easy reach, not only during the holidays
Through eduID.cz, library visitors can access several services at once. Knihovny.cz offers personalised access to 33 libraries in the Czech Republic with a collection of more than 2.6 million books. Through eduID.cz, readers can log in to PressReader, which provides access to daily newspapers and popular educational magazines, and Bookport, which offers 9,000 specialized books and fiction. CESNET has created an interactive digital model of a jewellery from the 5th century
A unique gold treasure from the 5th century is on display at the exhibition The Mystery of Golden Jewellery in the Rakovník Museum. Our colleagues have created an interactive digital model that allows visitors to view the treasure from all sides and to combine the individual fragments into a single whole. The visualisation of the jewels is accessible in a special kiosk, which is part of the exhibition. Read more here. - 4. July 2022
Concert to celebrate the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU was a success
The connection between the musicians of the Prague HAMU and the Belgian Luca School of Arts was successful and the remote concert was a success. We increased our data storage capacity by 33 PB
We have commissioned one of the largest data storage facilities in the Czech Republic in Ostrava. The capacity available to users has been increased by 33 PB. The new object storage, designated CL3, was built and put into operation in the premises of the national supercomputer centre IT4Innovations, which is a partner of the association in the national e-infrastructure e-INFRA CZ. We have completed the first phase of network modernisation
The modernisation of the backbone communication network built over 2240 kilometres of fibre optic routes will bring higher speeds and better availability of services for users. The generational technological renewal also brings a change in the designation of the backbone network to CESNET 3. The modernisation was financed by the Operational Programme Research, Development and Education of the Ministry of Education and Science within the e-INFRA CZ: Modernisation project.
