    We connect choirs remotely as part of the SMArt Gospel benefit concert

    Our technology, MVTP, will be used at a benefit concert for the SMArt Gospel Project, which supports children with spinal muscular atrophy. We will use it to connect the church choir in Pilsen with artists at HAMU Prague. The connection of the church will be realized for the first time by wireless technology without installing roof antennas. Simultaneously with the artists in Pilsen and Prague, other musicians will perform in Brno and Vratislavice.     We have connected more than 1000 participants to Open Science Week 2023

    As a partner, CESNET participated in the organization of Open Science Week 2023 in a hybrid form. More than 1000 participants have been connected remotely through our infrastructure. Open Science Week is an event that presents topics related to open science, research data management, open access and legal aspects of open science.

    Erik Huizer, CEO of Géant visited CESNET

    We welcomed an important visitor to CESNET. Erik Huizer, CEO of Géant, a pan-European network for research and education, arrived. Together with colleague Beatrix Weber, Head of Partnerships, they toured the SageLab, Optical and QKD Labs. At the joint meeting, the strategy and future direction of Géant was presented and cooperation in the research areas of QKD, AAI and metrology was outlined.

    Premiere of e-INFRA CZ at Linux Days 2023

    At this year's Linux Days CESNET presented itself in the colours of the e-INFRA CZ consortium. Together with our partners, CERIT-SC from Brno and IT4I from Ostrava, we have introduced a range of services for demanding computations, data storage and complex multimedia environment for collaboration of scientists and research teams. In addition to the services on offer, the numerous visitors to the stand were also interested in job offers and the topics of bachelor's and master's theses.     European C-SCALE project will enable more efficient Earth research

    The just completed European C-SCALE project has achieved its goal of creating a federation of partners that bring together archives of Earth observation data with providers of computing resources for further processing of these data. As a result of the project, new services are now available on the EOSC portal. You can read more about the project in our new press release.

    Partial service outage

    Today, at approximately 12:10 p.m., due to a power outage at the hall in Zikova Street in Prague, the availability of some services was limited. We are working hard to fix it. Update 13:12: electricity repair done (at about 13:00), services are gradually coming up.
