In 2022, a total of 6,400,000,000 (6.4 billion) eduroam authentications were recorded worldwide. This represents a 70% increase compared to 2021. After a slowdown during the COVID years, the situation is improving. Currently, eduroam is utilized by the academic and scientific community at 35,856 locations in 103 countries around the world. In the Czech Republic, it is possible to connect to a wireless network at 1,150 locations, particularly in schools, research organizations, and even at train stations.
