Basic features

The service offers a complete view of network and infrastructure usage over various timeframes—from hours and days to years. It helps users track resource use, spot unused capacity, monitor fault development, and plan future upgrades. Outputs can be tailored for both technical and managerial needs.

The G3 system, developed by CESNET, powers this service, improving data collection, processing, and visualization from network elements. Data is pre-processed and stored in a scalable system, with both custom queries and automated reports available.

Service options include:

  • Standard service: Insight into specific segments of CESNET's e-infrastructure
  • Extra (paid) service: Analysis of user infrastructure using CESNET's tools
  • Extra (paid) service: Analysis of user infrastructure with their own tools
  • Monitors current load, resource usage, and availability.
  • Helps quickly address bottlenecks.
  • Assists in optimizing and planning infrastructure development based on performance and fault data.

The G3 system processes, classifies, filters, and stores traffic logs for detailed statistical analysis.

This service is aimed at administrators and managers of CESNET-connected organizations (e.g., dedicated networks, virtual networks, computation infrastructure) and their users, including individual teams and virtual organizations. It is also available to external organizations..

Basic access to partial CESNET e-infrastructure data via the G3 web interface is free. Fees for implementing the service within an organization's environment or for external organizations are determined case by case.
