- The Warden enables efficient sharing of detected anomalies within the monitored networks.
Basic features
The WARDEN system complements the Mentat system. Both have been developed, tested, and operated for use within the CESNET Association, benefiting its members and participants. However, some of their basic functions are also open to other organizations.
The WARDEN system allows CERT/CSIRT and other security teams to efficiently share and utilize information about detected network and service anomalies.
Key features include:
- A simple, robust, and secure information-sharing system
- Support for incident handling and response within CESNET3 and the CESNET-CERTS team
- Capability to analyze data, verify reliability, and assess usefulness for active network and service protection
- Integration with similar information-sharing systems being developed worldwide
The service is available to Association members, connected organizations, and their divisions. It operates on a community basis, relying on voluntary information upload, sharing, and utilization.
The service is available at no additional charge to organizations connected to the CESNET e-infrastructure.
