The Phishingator service enables organizations to easily create, send, and evaluate phishing emails through a user-friendly web application, eliminating the need for technical expertise. It includes practical user training in phishing and social engineering, where mock phishing emails are sent to educate users through hands-on experience. Setting up such practical exercises requires significant time, resources, and qualified staff.

The Phishingator web application is open source software initially developed at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and subsequently enhanced. CESNET hosts and manages this application as a service, ensuring organizations using it can concentrate solely on preparing phishing content and monitoring user responses.

Key benefits

The Phishingator service offers a streamlined approach to conducting phishing campaigns through a user-friendly interface.

Admins can specify details such as: the recipient, timing, type of phishing, and the phishing site using a simple form.
Recipients can be added via voluntary registration through Phishingator login or selected manually.
Alternatively, recipients can be chosen interactively from LDAP.

The service includes pre-made templates for creating deceptive websites and automates the entire campaign process, including sending phishing messages, managing notifications, and terminating campaigns. Administrators have visibility into user activities, supported by an educational page that explains and illustrates indicators for identifying phishing attempts.

Comprehensive statistics detailing each phishing campaign and providing personal and institutional-wide global insights.
The system is modular, allowing for easy integration of new phishing scenarios and seamless connection with various authentication systems like Kerberos, LDAP, and IMAP.
