Self-testing in your own network.
Basic features
The service allows network administrators to test their networks or services using NESSUS, a widely used network security scanner. Administrators can install NESSUS on any machine within their network and request a temporary activation code for the NESSUS Professional license from CESNET. This license enables testing for at least 14 days, or longer if arranged.
NESSUS can be downloaded here and supports the following platforms:
- FreeBSD 12 AMD64
- Amazon Linux x86_64, 2 x86_64 + aarch64
- Debian amd64 + i386
- Fedora x86_64
- Raspberry Pi OS armhf
- RHEL 6 x86_64, 7 aarch64 + x86_64, 8 aarch64 + x86_64, 9 aarch64 + x86_64
- SUSE 12 x86_64, 15 x86_64
- Ubuntu aarch64 + x86_64 + i386
- macOS x86_64
- Windows x86_64 + i386
- Nessus Scanner Docker Hub: docker pull tenable/nessus:(version-OS)
With the NESSUS Professional license, administrators access the latest test plugins and "Compliance and Audit" files, unlike the free NESSUS Essentials version, which is limited to scanning 16 IPs.
