CSNOG 2025: We invite you to a community meeting of network administrators

On 21 and 22 January 2025, the eighth annual community meeting of Czech and Slovak network administrators CSNOG 2025 will take place in Zlín. What can you look forward to? Two days packed with interesting lectures, discussions and inspiring meetings. The event is traditionally co-organised with CZ.NIC and NIX.CZ. You can register now.

A programme full of inspiration

CSNOG 2025 will offer a rich expert programme, featuring not only guests from the industry, but also our colleagues from CESNET. Their presentations will introduce you to the latest trends, practices and technologies in network management, security and automation

• Jan Kučera and Jan Viktorin will talk about using eBPF/XDP to optimize the performance of the Linux kernel network subsystem.
• Ladislav Loub will present methods and tools for documentation of large-scale networks using NetBox and its adaptation for automation needs.
• Lukáš Macura will offer a practical view of implementing central log management in a network, including suggestions for solutions, and will not forget to point out possible pitfalls.
• With Lukáš Šišmiš you will be able to explore new possibilities of using Suricata as a multi-purpose network tool, not only as an IDS/IPS.
• Karel Hynek will introduce the new version of the ipfixprobe, which now supports DPDK and monitoring of up to 400GE lines.
• Michal Hažlinský will offer a look at how open hardware in SDN is enabling the expansion of optical networks and bringing new opportunities to operators.
• Honza Kolouch will moderate a panel discussion focused on the Czech Republic's digital outlook to 2030.

In addition to the professional programme, you can look forward to a Tuesday social evening where there will be space for informal discussions, exchange of experiences and networking. Come and chat with like-minded members of the community and enrich yourself with new knowledge and contacts.
