CESNET Day at Brno University of Technology: Meeting with members of our community
On Wednesday 4 September, another CESNET Day took place at Brno University of Technology, attended by nearly forty people from connected organisations and the scientific community. The aim of the event was to meet members of our community in person, to show how and with what our services can help them and to share experiences with each other. We were very pleased to be able to visit the grounds of our long-time member.
The program began with an opening greeting from BUT Chancellor Kamil Gregorek, followed by a series of expert lectures (more here). Karol Kniewald introduced the participants to the complete portfolio of CESNET services, Jan Kolouch presented the very topical topic of NIS2 and Tomas Košňar focused on network monitoring. Andrea Kropáčová spoke about security, antispam gateways and forensic lab. At the end of the morning session, Miroslav Ruda presented demanding computing and virtual servers.
The afternoon part of the program was dedicated to data storage and the OwnCloud platform presented by David Antos, multimedia and streaming by Miloš Liška and identity management and eduID presented by Pavel Zlámal. Michal Procházka then closed the program with the topic of eIDAS electronic signing.
After the official part of the program and during the breaks there was a space for networking and informal discussion, which was widely used by the participants.
